Introduction

Technology and innovation ecosystems — the interconnected web of government policy, academic research, industry, financing, and support institutions that turns ideas into viable enterprises — are among the strongest determinants of a country’s long-term economic competitiveness. For OIC member states, building such ecosystems is particularly important: many possess strong scientific talent and growing digital economies, yet continue to face gaps in translating research into commercial technology, in connecting entrepreneurs to markets and capital, and in the policy and institutional frameworks needed to sustain innovation at scale. Strengthening these ecosystems is central to economic diversification, job creation for a young and growing population, and technological self-reliance across the OIC.

Recognizing the importance of this theme, OIC-COMSTECH is organizing this seminar with a focus on Technology and Innovation Ecosystem Development, in collaboration with Pardis Technology Park, Iran, and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), Türkiye.

The program is being held under the forum of the OIC-COMSTECH Technovation Academy.
