OIC-COMSTECH Research Grant Program for Young Women Researchers from OIC Member States

OIC-COMSTECH, is the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) (www.comstech.org), is pleased to announce the 2nd phase of small Research Grants Program for Young Women Researchers.

This initiative is dedicated to support young women researchers engaged in indigenous research within OIC member states. The program aims to promote scientific culture, strengthen research capacity, and help to enhance confidence of talented young researchers from the OIC region. Grants may be utilized for purchasing Minor Equipment and Consumables.

Key Features:

  • Small Grants are awarded to young women researchers actively involve in scientific research in OIC countries.
  • Each grant under this program amounts 5,000–7,000 USD aimed at supporting individual research projects led by women researchers.
  • Grant is awarded for a one-year duration.
  • Grants may be used for purchasing minor scientific equipment and consumables only.

Research Areas to apply:

Applied Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, CS, IT and Medicine.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

  • Be nationals of OIC Member States.
  • Ph.D. Degree holders.
  • Full time Faculty Members of University or Research Institutions.
  • Be under 45 years of age on closing date.
  • Applications received after deadlines will not be considered.
