COMSTECH proudly announces the Empower Her Postgraduate Fellowship for Afghan Women, a special initiative aimed at supporting talented Afghan women pursuing postgraduate studies (Master’s and Ph.D.) in Pakistan.

This fellowship is designed to empower Afghan women through higher education, build leadership capacity, and strengthen their role in academia, research, and science, contributing to gender equality and sustainable development in the region.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be female citizens of Afghanistan.
  • Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s applicants) or an M.S./M.Phil. degree (for Ph.D. applicants).
  • Must demonstrate a strong academic background and commitment to advancing research or leadership in their field.
  • Preference will be given to early-career researchers and women dedicated to contributing to Afghanistan’s scientific and academic development.

Selection Process

Applications will be jointly reviewed by COMSTECH and partner universities based on academic merit, research proposal relevance, and potential for leadership and social impact.

Terms of the Fellowship

  • COMSTECH and host universities will provide academic supervision and research support.
  • Selected fellows will have access to institutional facilities and mentorship programs.
  • Accommodation and living expenses will be covered for a limited number of fellows.
  • Fellows are encouraged to participate in seminars, workshops, and collaborative research during their stay.
