COMSTECH General Assembly

COMSTECH General Assembly is chaired by H.E. The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in his capacity as Chairman COMSTECH, invites Heads of the States of fifty-seven OIC member states and five observer states, to nominate their Representatives /Ministers In-charge of Science and Technology, The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and The President of Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Jeddah; meets every two years in Islamabad to discuss programmes and budget of the COMSTECH. All S&T related system organizations of the OIC are also invited to join this important meeting and present their reports to the COMSTECH General Assembly. It is the largest gathering of the world on S&T issues of the OIC region and it includes representation from some of the organs of the United Nations (UN) that are active in matters of S&T and international donor organizations working with COMSTECH for its joint action programmes.
