In the light of unpredictable measures with regard to coronavirus quarantine regulations in different airports in the world and travel restrictions that may be imposed by some countries and in view of taking into consideration the many remarks and notes from respected Fellows and participants, the IAS Secretariat has decided to postpone the 22nd IAS Conference: Landscape of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Islamic Countries that was scheduled to be held on 15-16 April 2020 in Amman, Jordan to a new date that tentatively will be after July 15.

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has announced a Transform Fund Call for Innovation 2020.  The $500 Million Transform Fund will focus entirely on supporting Member Countries long-term preparedness and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose of the fund is to invest in early stage innovative ideas and the scaling of innovations by providing seed money for innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and institutions that need initial funding and growth capital to develop their ideas.
