International Training Course on Cybersecurity: Skills for Employability

Background:
OIC-COMSTECH, PMYP, and Huawei Technologies are jointly organizing a two-day training course on “Cybersecurity: Skills for Employability” under the COMSTECH–Huawei ICT Academy. Through expert-led sessions, demonstrations and guided exercises, the course will introduce foundational cybersecurity skills, defensive practices and career opportunities.
Objectives:
- To strengthen understanding of cyber threats and digital security.
- To introduce practical skills in threat identification and incident response.
- To explore cybersecurity careers and learning pathways.
Training Themes:
Cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, phishing and malware awareness, data protection, ethical hacking concepts, incident response and employability.
Expected Outcomes:
- Improved awareness of cybersecurity risks and defensive practices.
- Development of introductory practical skills.
- Greater understanding of cybersecurity career opportunities.
