Course Details:
The OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (OIC – COMSTECH), in collaboration with Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of Punjab, is pleased to announce the OIC – COMSTECH and CEMB Research Fellowship Program for OIC Member States.
This short-term research initiative designed to strengthen scientific capacity and promote advanced research in biotechnology and molecular life sciences across OIC member countries. The program aims to foster collaborative research, encourage knowledge exchange, and empower emerging researchers by providing access to state-of-the-art laboratories and expert mentorship.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, the participants will:
- Gain advanced knowledge of molecular biology, biotechnology, Microbiology and Biomedical Sciences
- Design and conduct independent and collaborative research in life sciences and biomedical fields
- Enhance skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, bioinformatics, and scientific publication
- Strengthen professional networks among research institutions across OIC Member States
Target Audience:
- Early-career researchers, PhD scholars, and postdoctoral fellows from OIC Member States.
- Faculty members and research professionals working in biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics, biomedical sciences, and related disciplines.
- Scientists affiliated with universities, research institutes, and national laboratories seeking advanced research exposure and international collaboration opportunities.
- Motivated researchers aiming to strengthen their technical expertise and contribute to impactful scientific outcomes within their home institutions.

- Duration: 2 Months
- Financial Support:
- Round-trip airfare & Living Expenditure will be covered by OIC-COMSTECH
- Accommodation, Laboratory Training, & Mentorship will be Covered by Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB)
Eligibility:
- Nationals of OIC Member States and Observer States
- Applicants from African countries are strongly encouraged
- Pre-Requisite:
- Education: MS or above
- Research Experience: Natural Sciences/Applied Biological Sciences/ Microbiologist/ Virologist/Medicine/Molecular Biology
