Chairman COMSTECH appoints the Executive Committee of COMSTECH for a four-year period which is composed of:

• Secretary General of the OIC
• Representative of the Chairman Islamic Summit
• Coordinator General COMSTECH
• Nominees of eight member states

Presently the following states are members of the COMSTECH Executive Committee:

• Republic of Azerbaijan
• Islamic Republic of Iran
• Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
• Republic of Niger
• Islamic Republic of Pakistan
• Palestine
• Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Republic of Senegal

Functions of Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is the executive arm of COMSTECH and it:

• Assists the General Assembly to carry out its statutory responsibilities
• Implements decisions and directives of the General Assembly
